Give It All Away

http://herwords-unspoken.tumblr.com/

I tried so hard,
when each loss was
as a shard
striking against
my confidence—
cutting me up,
tearing me apart,
leaving these gashes
on my heart.
I wanted to be
so much more—
but doubt was lurking,
a constant war.
It was then
I gave it all away—
all of the failure
fell to decay.
I gave it to God,
who laid it to rest;
repairing my damage,
He made me my best.

Arise

People of God, arise!
Stand for the Word,
not subject to lies!
We are called for
a purpose much
greater than this;
arise and take heart,
as you don’t want to miss
the glorious plan
unfolded in
the Father’s hand.
Do not slumber
in this day—
awaken, with hope,
from where you lay!
Jesus waits for us
with arms stretched wide—
people of God, arise, arise.

Saved

To all the wayward,
wandering souls—
those with no hope,
no joy, no goals.
To those who walk
carrying stones of regret—
come to the cross;
you’re not lost yet.
Jesus has given you
a new name;
no longer hang
your head in shame.
May you give up yourself
and give in to God—
to finally discover
the truth your
heart’s craved
and truly know
what it means
to be saved.

Ashes and Dust

Source: http://herwords-unspoken.tumblr.com/

A weary dreamer lays her head
on trodden hope and makeshift bed
of broken dreams, of words unsaid,
and faded flowers fallen dead.
But among bravery’s last remains,
stretching forth from dreams once slain,
emerges loveliness from bleak terrain–
a newfound promise fresh as rain.
A hopeful dreamer, continue she must—
building strength on faith and trust
that her Father washes clean the rust—
a beauty risen from ashes and dust.
